This movie poster spoof was created to parody the "Making a Murderer" series on Netflix. Though a very fun project, it forced me to think about photo manipulation in a different way than I had previously done. Image editing was a big part of the success of this piece.

Plant Face is a project I completed for my Intro to Photoshop class. It challenged me to problem solve within the software as well as to manipulate several different elements and pieces of art at once. The usage of shadows, extractions, gradients, and embossing all made this project successful for me.

My condensation animation done in Photoshop taught me how versatile the software can really be.

For an annual cancer support 5K race I was tasked with creating a logo, race ribbon, and shirt design. This is a mock up of that shirt. I faced difficulties with there being a color limit and variety of elements requested by the customer.

Another Photoshop challenge I faced was creating another spoof for a movie poster. I decided to spoof Mother! and flipped the concept onto my dad. Being a mechanic and an enthusiast for cheesy poses, my dad was a perfect fit for my concept. There were several new techniques such as the brush tools, warping, extractions, and in depth text treatments.

This was another project done in Photoshop's animation suite. My main goal with this piece was to play with perspectives and visuals.

Below is a glimpse of the creative process I take for nearly every job or project I embark on. Firstly I brainstorm with sketches, then I put together a draft of my favorite sketched ideas. From there I tweak elements such as color, texture, space, font, etc until I am able to generate a proof.

This project was to create a flexible film package for animal crackers. The target audience was children ages 2-10. My biggest learning curve for this design was educating myself on the required legal statements and specifications of barcodes, allergy statements, etc.

Substrate variability opens up a door full of opportunities as a designer. I was able to use a clear substrate for this pizza slip package design. My task was to create different slip packages for five flavors; as long as they have continuity. Here, the triangles in the center were clear windows. The blue version of this below represents my white

ink placement

The following two pieces are attached to the pizza slip packaging as seen above. Each piece printed on a different substrate, meaning I had to evaluate how the ink would behave on different mediums while also hitting the same College Gourmet colors. On the left, you can see a brochure digital layout. On the right is a magazine ad for the comapny.

To the right is a mock-up of a CD album cover and disk art. Unique to most of my past experiences, this client presented me with the freedom to design art for a compilation album of NWTC's audio students. Going into the project all I knew was that the client was interested in a youthful and fresh design that connected to the college. After proofing a few drafts I finalized my project by outputting these elements on the selected streaming service. While physically printing this project would have been incredible, it was a great project to add to my digital portfolio.

Loved messing with different selections and treatments to create this YouTube channel art!

This Rooster Beverage Co. logo was very fun to play around with. The client wanted to take an organic approach to their logo design.

Photo restoration in Photoshop is always a challenge. Here I recolored and touched up a portrait of my mom.

Personalized stationary items are a great way to promote branding! To the right, you can see a personalized notepad complete with a yearly outline above.

You might recognize the Rooster Beverage Logo in use here! This is a press-ready file for a clear juice bottle. Being able to utilize the clear substrate options in my designs is always a fun design challenge. The client wanted to have the clear substrate showing through as much as possible. As mentioned in the bio of my logo design for this client, they really wanted to approach all their design work with an organic approach as it reflects their brand beliefs.

The world of design doesn't just stop at package design! Here is a part of a project that was intended to teach how to design for a client's social media account. After selecting an important figure in history we were to create elements the individual could in theory post to their account. I chose to create a mock-up of a Linked In post as well as a Snapchat geo-filter for John Muir. Both reflect either notable quotes or sentiments he was well known for expressing.
